BarberByte provides booking pages, schedule tools and analytics for independent barbers. In this policy, "BarberByte", "we", "us" and "our" means the BarberByte service.

Information we collect

• Barber account details such as name, email address, login details, business name, booking page link and address or location.
• Service and schedule information such as service names, prices, working hours and appointment slots.
• Client booking information such as client name, email address, selected service, appointment time and optional notes.
• Subscription and billing information handled through Stripe, such as subscription status and payment references.
• Cancellation feedback if a barber chooses to share why they are ending a subscription.
• Technical information needed to run the site, protect accounts and troubleshoot errors.

How we use information

• To create and manage barber accounts and public booking pages.
• To show available appointment slots and confirm bookings.
• To send booking confirmation, cancellation and account-related emails.
• To manage paid BarberByte subscriptions.
• To understand why barbers cancel and improve BarberByte.
• To provide support, prevent misuse, secure the service and improve BarberByte.
• To comply with legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations where required.

Legal bases

Where EU or UK data protection law applies, we usually process information because it is necessary to provide the service, because we have a legitimate interest in operating and securing BarberByte, because we need to comply with legal obligations, or because you have given consent for a specific use.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run BarberByte, including hosting, database/authentication, subscription payment and email delivery providers. These may include Vercel, Supabase, Stripe and Resend. Payment card details for barber subscriptions are handled by Stripe and are not stored by BarberByte.

Barbers and their clients

Barbers are responsible for how they use their client booking information outside BarberByte. Clients should contact the barber directly for questions about the appointment itself, the haircut service or the barber's own business practices.

Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide BarberByte, maintain records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations and protect the service. Barbers can update many details from their dashboard settings or contact us for help.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to use of your personal information, and to request a portable copy. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

We may update this policy as BarberByte changes. The latest version will be posted on this page with a new updated date.
